Bill is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor and have worked in both the Construction Industry and House building industry since 1978. On leaving school I joined a local firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and attended day release course in Glasgow and qualified ARICS in 1985 1985 – 1988 Once qualified I spent some time working overseas in Libya as the Regional Surveyor mostly oil and gas related works 1988 - 2000 On return was invited to join Beazer Homes as their Development Manager working from Falkirk and latterly their Cumberland office. Whilst at Beazer I was appointed Technical Director and was responsible for delivering 800 units per year in both Normal Residential and Social Housing. 2000 - 2003 Whilst working on a joint Venture site with Robertson Homes and was offered the opportunity to be appointed Managing Director of Robertson Homes, based in Elgin. Under my management, I was charged to expand the House building Company and relocated Robertson Homes to new offices in Stirling in order to establish the Company in the Central belt. To date this remains Robertson Home's base of operations:
